Introduction to the Display Startups Data and Metrics
Tracking and analyzing historical performance records is key to evaluating baseline startup progress within AcceleratorApp. The platform translates monthly data points into dynamic visual charts, allowing administrators, founders, and advisors to review operational trends cleanly over time.
Using these interactive analytical graphs, users can cross-reference different indicators—such as mapping monthly sales growth directly against user acquisition rates—to uncover deep health insights. Furthermore, the system includes granular privacy controls, letting program administrators toggle data permissions for external experts to keep sensitive financial details protected.
Where to Find Display Startups Data and Metrics
To view and display data and metrics, navigate to the Startups on the top menu and choose a Startup File > Analytics section. Here, you can access graphs that represent the collected metrics and interact with them for better insights.
Step-by-Step
1. Navigating to the Analytics Dashboard
Click on the Startups menu on the top navigation bar, select a specific Startup File, and click into its Analytics section.
2. Filtering Chart Metrics
Click on the metric filter dropdown menu above the graph to choose the specific performance indicator you want to isolate on the visual timeline.
3. Comparing Metrics Across Timeframes
Select different data indicators for your chart axes to contrast performance points, then adjust the time toggle to view the data by semester or year.
4. Downloading Individual Chart Data
Click the download button on the top right of the chart to export the active metric graph's dataset directly into an Excel file.

5. Reviewing Base Workspace Visibility
Verify who can see this data; by default, the startup's co-founders, the internal incubator administration team, and assigned mentors or experts can view these metrics.

6. Navigating to Metric Collection Settings
Navigate to General Settings from your main sidebar panel, then click into the Metrics Collection Settings tab.
7. Restricting Mentor Data Access
Locate the question asking if mentors should have access to the startup's metrics, select No, and click the Save button to hide data fields from external advisors.

8. Exporting Full Portfolio Metrics
Navigate to the primary Startup Portfolio dashboard page and click the Export Metrics icon in the upper-right corner to download a master spreadsheet for all startups.

Best Practices
Align comparison periods: When comparing distinct metrics like cash burn vs sales, use matching timeframes (e.g., trailing 12 months) to ensure data correlations remain accurate.
Audit mentor rules routinely: Review your mentor permission toggles before launching a new incubation cycle to ensure incoming external experts have the correct clearance levels.
Save global exports for reporting: Use the macro-level portfolio export button instead of downloading individual startup files when pulling data for quarterly investor or stakeholder reports.
